Supporting the Children of Our Military Heroes

Cooper Standard is honored to partner with two extraordinary organizations to change the lives of military heroes’ children by paying back their sacrifice with the gift of education.

As published on June 25, 2018. Folds of Honor is awarding Cooper Standard-sponsored scholarships to students attending one of 14 private four-year colleges and universities in the Michigan Colleges Alliance (MCA). Sponsored through the Cooper Standard Foundation, Folds of Honor is providing six education scholarships of $10,000 each to the families of fallen or disabled service members for the 2018/2019 school year.

And, beginning in 2019, the partnership will award two $25,000 scholarships that will be matched by MCA to provide full-ride scholarships to two very deserving students.

“We are pleased to expand our efforts to support military veterans by honoring the families of those who make so many sacrifices for our country,” said Jeffrey Edwards, chairman and CEO, Cooper Standard. “With this new partnership, we hope to make a lasting impact through education and give back to our military families who have given so much for our freedom.”

Donations to Folds of Honor help fund educational scholarships for the spouses and children of military heroes who have been killed or disabled during active duty. The donation from Cooper Standard and the match from MCA colleges will give Michigan-based military families greater opportunity to attend a leading private college.

This partnership builds upon Cooper Standard’s long-term commitment to supporting military veterans and those who are transitioning from active service. Cooper Standard is devoted to honoring and supporting military heroes through several initiatives focused on helping military veterans or their children integrate back to civilian life through education and ultimately employment.
